Nascar comes to Las Vegas. With a fun filled weekend of Nascar racing at the Las VegasMotor Speedway all wrapped up it once again was a total success. The fans that support Nascar are the most dedicated fans I have ever seen. They will stand by their teams through thick and thin. They wear the team hats and jackets. They buy all kinds of team memorabilia. They support their team with their hard earned dollars. The fans also support the city the race is in with millions of dollars pumped into our great city.
The best part of being at the races is you get to share the experience with family and friends. The smell of those powerful engines and burning rubber can only be enjoyed live at the track. The buzzing of the cars as they streak by at over 200 miles per hour is just unbelievable. It is amazing to watch a car pull into pit row for tires, gas, and adjustments. The pit crew looks like a fine oiled machine when that car pulls in. Everyone has a job to do and they better do it in record time. It’s fun to watch these guys run around the car replacing all 4 tires, making adjustments, gassing up the tank and it only takes a few seconds.
Servicing your car is a lot like pulling into the pits. You want a well qualified crew working on your car don’t you? Finding a good shop may not be easy but once you find a good group of people to take care of you and your car you will want to keep them around. Knowing the same guys are looking after your car should bring you peace of mind. They get to know you and your car. They know your driving habits and needs. Nothing beats PERSONAL SERVICE, a lost art form these days.
So go ahead and support your local independent repair shop with your repairs and service needs. Don’t put up with just being a number at some big dealer or chain store with you and your personal needs getting lost in the shuffle. The local independent repair shops are the shops that keep America driving. Your local little repair shop will be the MADE IN AMERICAtype of business you’re looking for.
So go ahead and make your pit stop at the best independent repair shop in Las VegasBob’s Autodynamics.
Auto repairs in Las Vegas can be a scary thing to do. If you have lived in Las Vegas a long time you can remember when it was a small town. People could be trusted and business was done with a hand shake. Now Las Vegas is a big city and with that comes big city problems. Las Vegas is a very transient city people and businesses come and go faster than you can imagine.
Times have changed and we as consumers have to be careful. All business dealings you have should be done with a reputable business. We recently had a new customer that just got a new radiator put in their car 2 months ago. We told the customer the radiator was the problem but looked brand new and advised them to call the other shop and get the problem fixed under warranty. They informed us the other shop was out of business and gone. With no recourse they had to pay to get another radiator installed.
We as consumers have to do our home work on a business. How long have they been in business? How long have they been at that location? Are the owners of that business the original ones? Are the owners involved in running the business? These are all good questions that need to be answered. The BBB is a good source for information regarding any business. County records will provide information also.
Personally I like to do business with smaller good old family run business. I like to get to know the people behind the business. I like that they know me by name and take the time to take care of me. I like the fact that if there is a problem that the owner or manager will take care of the problem and in turn are taking care of me. I do not like the feeling I’m just another number waiting to be helped.
Just like a good doctor gets to know you and your body to help them take care of you better year after year. A good auto repair shop will get to know you and your vehicles. They will be very helpful in keeping you going without problems or failures as your vehicle ages. Bob’s Autodynamics has been in business in the same location since 1986. Now that’s dependable. So let’s all choose our doctors and auto repair shops carefully.

Times have changed for the automobile. In 1986 when I first opened Bob’s Autodynamics auto service and repair center inLas Vegas things were different. The vehicles of today are made to last longer then the vehicles of the past. Back in 1980 computers were being installed in cars to help with the pollution problem in our country. Those were some rough years for the car makers.
The auto manufactures were under pressure from the EPA to make cars run cleaner. The only way the car makers could accomplish this was to enlist the help of the computer to run the fuel and ignition systems of the vehicle. At that point in time carburetors were used to deliver fuel to the engine. The engineers had trouble making a mechanical part (the carburetor) work well with an electronic part (the computer). They did the best they could but still had problems achieving pollution goals.
In 1990 the manufactures decided to start using electronic fuel injectors. That change with many other advancements helped them achieve their goals. Not only did the pollution coming form cars go down gas mileage went up and cars ran better. Gone were the days waiting for your car to warm up before you could depend on your car to run good.
Around the year 2000 manufactures really improved engine and transmission designs. It is not unusual for a vehicle to last 300,000 miles if it has been well maintained. Those improvements with others again helped pollution and gas mileage.
At Bob’s Autodynamics we have noticed that the newer cars with all their advancements and improvements will fall apart or break down faster if not maintained then the older cars did. It’s the old saying , they don’t make them like they use to. But if you do maintain your new car it will last you a good long while.
Americans LOVE their automobiles. We all have our favorite car we own or wished we could afford to own. There is nothing better than driving down the highway on a nice day to visit our family or friends. I know I’m looking forward to my next trip down that highway in my well maintained car.

The holidays are here and that has me thinking about all the people in Las Vegas that are struggling right now. Some people are out of a job and are still looking for work. Some people only have a part-time job, and others have just seen a decrease in income.
This is the time to get out and help your family and friends. I have noticed that the busses are almost full with people these days. I used to see the busses almost empty and still running their routes. I’m sue some people have lost their cars because they could not make the payment or their car may need a major repair they can not afford. It could be they just don’t have the gas money right now.
How about we offer our family or our neighbor a ride to the store, the doctor, or whatever errand that will help them. We could see if they just need a little gas money to get by this month. I’m sure if you pay attention you will find many people you know that could use a little help this year.
I have lived in Las Vegas since 1964 and know for a fact that the people living here are very giving. We may be a melting pot of people from all over the country but we are the best of the best when it comes to helping out. So come on Las Vegas lets get out there and help someone this year. You know the old saying It’s better to give than to receive.

As the Holidays draw closer we all start thinking of our families and friends. Who’s coming over for Thanksgiving dinner? Are we going to Grandmas for Christmas? What Should I get for my favorite people this year? When the holidays get here we are all so busy prepairing we tend to forget the importain things of everyday life. Is the family car ready for that trip to Grandmas house? Why not take an hour and visit your favorate auto repair shop befor the holidays get here. Get the car serviced and checked for the up and coming road trip. That is another way to take some stress out of your holidays.
When it time to do some Christmas shopping why not think about everyones cars. Shopping for car acessories is a lot more fun than having it serviced. How about a navagation system or a new sound system? If the seats or carpet is in bad condition how about some seat covers or floormats. If you have a lazy person in your group a book of free car washes would be awesome. If you realy love that person and the car needs some paint how about a sparkling new paint job. The posibilities are almost endless when it comes to car acessoires. If you have some youg driver straped for cash a gift certificate for a few oil change services at your local garage would be apreceated and good for the car. Presents related to peoples cars can be both aforadable and practical.
When the holidays are here there will be a lot of parties. At many parties some people may have a bit to much to drink. As we all know drinking and driving is a big NO NO. There are a few places that will provide a ride home during the holidays. I know AAA offers “Tipsy Tow” that will take you and your car home for free, but it would be apropiate to make a small donation.
